Migro processes your WordPress content locally between your installations. We do not store, access, or transmit your website content through our servers.

01 Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how Migro ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our WordPress migration plugin ("the Plugin").

We never touch your WordPress content.

2.1 What we do NOT collect

Your WordPress content. We do not collect, store, or access your WordPress posts, pages, images, or any content data. All content migration happens directly between your WordPress installations.

2.2 What we DO collect

License & Account Information

  • Email address (for license delivery and support)
  • License key and activation status
  • Site URLs where the plugin is activated
  • Plugin version information

Usage Analytics (Pro versions — coming soon)

  • Aggregated, anonymized usage data to help improve the product
  • This is not yet collected — we will notify users before introducing it

Payment Information

  • Payment processing is handled by Stripe
  • We receive transaction confirmations but not payment details
  • Stripe's privacy policy governs payment data

Beta Application Data

  • Name, company, and website URL submitted via the beta form
  • Use case description and plugins selected
  • Newsletter subscription preference
  • IP address and submission timestamp

API Request Logs

  • License key, site URL, and IP address logged on license activation and deactivation
  • A sample of validate and update-check requests (approximately 10%) for diagnostic purposes
  • No content data is present in these logs

Support Communications

  • Email correspondence for support requests
  • Technical information you provide for troubleshooting

  • Validate Pro license activations
  • Enforce site limitations per plan
  • Provide automatic updates to Pro users

3.2 Product improvement

  • Analyze usage patterns to improve features
  • Identify and fix technical issues
  • Develop new features based on user needs

3.3 Customer support

  • Respond to support requests
  • Troubleshoot technical issues
  • Provide product guidance

3.4 Communications

  • Send license keys and renewal notices
  • Notify about important updates or security issues
  • Occasional product announcements (you can opt out)

04 Data Processing & Storage

4.1 Local processing

All WordPress content migration happens locally between your servers. The Plugin:

  • Connects directly between your WordPress installations
  • Processes content on your servers only
  • Does not route content through our servers

4.2 Data storage

  • License and account data stored on secure servers
  • API request logs retained for diagnostic and abuse-prevention purposes
  • Support communications retained for service quality
  • We aim to delete inactive account data within 3 years of account closure

4.3 Data security

  • Encryption in transit (HTTPS / TLS)
  • Encryption at rest for sensitive data
  • Regular security audits and updates
  • Limited access on a need-to-know basis
